Scottie Pippen, a six-time NBA champion and Hall of Famer with the Chicago Bulls, is visiting Puerto Rico as part of the Arroyo Puerto Rico Classic, a college basketball tournament held from July 28 to August 5 in Bayamón. Pippen's presence was shared by former Puerto Rican player Carlos Arroyo, the event's organizer, who posted photos with Pippen on social media and welcomed him to the island.
Pippen is accompanying his son, Justin Pippen, who plays for Ohio State, one of the teams participating in the tournament. The event features teams from Ohio State, Oklahoma, Army, Ole Miss, and two teams composed of Puerto Rican players.
Pippen played 17 seasons in the NBA, 12 of which were with the Bulls alongside Michael Jordan.
