TeleOnce TV, a Puerto Rican television channel, will broadcast the solar eclipse live from Cuenca, thanks to a collaboration with ToroVerde, an ecotourism and adventure park. A delegation of 12 professionals from Puerto Rico, led by journalist and meteorologist Deborah Martorell, has arrived in Cuenca and was received by Mayor Darío Dolz and Councilor for Tourism Marta Tirado.
Martorell interviewed Dolz about the significance of Cuenca being a key location for viewing the eclipse, and Dolz highlighted the opportunity for the city to be showcased to numerous national and international travelers. Dolz thanked TeleOnce TV for broadcasting the eclipse from Cuenca, allowing all Puerto Ricans to learn about the city through this important event.
Deborah Martorell is a prominent figure in scientific and meteorological journalism in Puerto Rico, having participated in Blue Origin's NS-34 mission, which made her the 115th woman in space.
