A 31-year-old woman, Carla Michelle Torres Rodríguez, crashed her 2014 Toyota Eco into a concrete fence of a residence in Aibonito at around 12:13 a.m. on Saturday. The incident occurred on PR-725, kilometer 1.6, in the Los Llanos neighborhood. According to the police report, Torres Rodríguez was driving at an unsafe speed, lost control of the vehicle, and collided with the fence, resulting in severe injuries.
She was taken to the Menonita hospital by paramedics Ortiz and Caratini, where she was treated by Dr. Ángel Amadeo, who diagnosed multiple traumas and a fractured femur. She was later transferred to the Centro Médico de Río Piedras and is in critical condition.
The incident is being investigated by Agent Melvin Alvarado Jiménez and Prosecutor Ámbar Ramos.
