FIVB Provides $177,000 in Aid to Puerto Rican Volleyball Federation

The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) announced that it has provided $177,000 in aid to the Puerto Rican Volleyball Federation (FPV) for salary payments to coaches and game equipment. The FIVB detailed that $84,000 was given for technical support, naming coaches Juan Carlos Núñez and José Mieles as the technical staff for the National Team. The aid is for the 2025 and 2026 campaigns.

Additionally, the FPV received $93,000 for volleyball equipment up to 2023. The announcement was made on the occasion of the start of the Norceca Women's Championship, which serves as a qualifying tournament for the 2026 Pre-Olympic and the 2027 World and Pan American Championships. The Puerto Rican National Team will debut against Cuba on Friday in the tournament, which is being held in Santo Domingo.

The FIVB also provided aid to other federations, including Canada, which received a total of $2,400,000, including $1,533,000 for coaches and $75,000 for equipment.
