A tourist drowned on the afternoon of August 19 at Puerta de Tierra beach in San Juan. According to preliminary reports from the Police, at around 3:45 PM, a person practicing surfing fell into the water near a rocky area.
When first responders arrived at the scene on Luis Muñoz Rivera Avenue, in front of a gas station, they found the individual without vital signs. Authorities are investigating whether the victim was a resident of Greece.
The San Juan Homicide Division, along with the on-duty prosecutor, are investigating the incident.
