An investigation is underway into a fire that destroyed a food truck in Aibonito, with authorities not ruling out the possibility of a criminal act. The incident occurred at around 3:30 a.m. near the BoniCoop cooperative, and police say it appears to be intentional. Earlier, at 1:14 a.m., a vehicle fire was reported on PR-718 in the Pasto neighborhood, where a 2005 Ford F-150 Super Duty was found in flames.
State firefighters from Aibonito extinguished the fire. The police are looking into whether an accelerant was used in either incident. Sergeants Luis Ortiz and Rosario from the Aibonito and Caguas areas, respectively, have been notified.
The incidents are being investigated as possible arson cases.
