A 48-year-old man from New York died in an accident while recreating on a boat near Playa Buyé in Cabo Rojo. According to preliminary information, a 9-1-1 emergency call was received at 2:16 pm reporting the incident.
When agents arrived, they found the man had died after accidentally hitting his face on the boat's chorrera, a type of protrusion, after jumping from it. The Homicide Division of the CIC in Mayagüez, along with the on-duty prosecutor, is investigating the case.
