Puerto Rico police are investigating the death of a man found with wounds and trauma to his body this morning at Isabel La Católica Park in the Baldrich neighborhood of Hato Rey. According to preliminary information from police, a call to the 9-1-1 Emergency System was received at 7:50 a.m. Monday reporting an unconscious man on the pavement.
Responding officers confirmed he showed no vital signs. The man had an open wound to the head and trauma in various parts of his body. San Juan's CIC Homicide Division, along with the on-duty prosecutor, is investigating the case.
The victim has not yet been identified, but authorities believe he may have been homeless.
