Banco Popular has begun filming its upcoming musical special, 'Reflejos de mi país', in various municipalities across Puerto Rico. The project, which aims to honor 34 years of uninterrupted transmission and welcome the holiday season, will feature the island's flora and fauna in its maximum splendor. Filming started in towns like Manatí, Loíza, and Las Piedras, and will soon take place in Arecibo and San Juan.
Artists Víctor Santiago and Ámbar Bonilla performed a medley of 'Hermoso bouquet' and the Christmas song 'A la zarandela' on the first day of filming in Las Piedras. Guaynaa also participated, fusing salsa and trova to interpret 'La vida campesina'. The special is a tradition that began in 1993 as part of the financial institution's centennial celebration.
Santiago and Bonilla are making their debut in the project, while Guaynaa expressed his happiness at being part of it, having grown up watching the specials with his family. The filming will showcase the island's natural and cultural richness.
