House of Representatives Passes 'Tax Equality' Bill

On Thursday, the Puerto Rico House of Representatives approved by voice vote a bill known as the "tax equality project," aimed at reducing the tax rate paid by Puerto Rico residents. However, the measure includes an increase to a tax rate that the administration of Governor Jenniffer González Colón had sought to promote.
