Javy Báez, a professional baseball player, and El Mago Foundation will host a 5K run called 'Desafiando Límites por la Inclusión' in Bayamón on November 22. The event aims to raise awareness about spina bifida and collect funds to support the Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Association of Puerto Rico.
According to Irmarie Báez, Javy Báez's wife and spokesperson for El Mago Foundation, the event seeks to be a movement of solidarity and create opportunities for people with spina bifida. The participation cost is $30, and the activity is open to people of all ages.
Samuel Zapata, executive director of El Mago Foundation, stated that the run is part of the organization's efforts to convert its inclusion initiatives into direct support for the community. The funds raised will be used to expand resources, support, and opportunities for individuals with spina bifida and their families.
