Judge Alba Calderón Cestero of the Arecibo Tribunal found probable cause to arrest José Antonio Andújar Ramírez, 63, for mistreating an elderly person and violating a protection order issued in favor of his 92-year-old mother. Andújar Ramírez was unable to post the $100,000 bail and was imprisoned at the Bayamón Correctional Complex.
According to the investigation, on the morning of September 8, Andújar Ramírez violated the protection order against him for mistreating his elderly mother. Agent José Cubero González, under the supervision of Sergeant Yolanda Acevedo Santiago, consulted with prosecutor Ismael Ortiz Roldán, who filed the corresponding charges.
