Luis Jomar Aponte, owner of LJ Landscaping, has prevailed in court against a lawsuit filed by Edwin Colón Ortiz, a 60-year-old man whom Aponte had helped. Aponte had mobilized the community to clean and rebuild part of Colón Ortiz's residence in Aibonito.
However, Colón Ortiz later sued Aponte, alleging misuse of donations made through Aponte's page to repair his property. According to WAPA Digital sources, the litigation was resolved in Aponte's favor.
Aponte had helped Colón Ortiz, who was living in deplorable conditions, by organizing community efforts to improve his residence.
