Don Perignon, a renowned timbalero, will celebrate his 50 years as a professional musician on October 4th at the Centro de Bellas Artes in Santurce. The event, featuring his orchestra La Puertorriqueña, will take a journey through five decades of his musical career.
Guests include Gilbertito Santa Rosa, Andy Montañez, Luisito Carrión, Moncho Rivera, and Hermán Olivera, among others. The concert aims to showcase Don Perignon's musical legacy, rather than just highlighting his own role as leader and director.
With a unique sound and the goal of getting people to dance salsa, La Puertorriqueña has become a staple in Puerto Rico's music scene. The event will feature a range of musicians, including Víctor García, Humberto Ramírez, and Mario Ortiz Jr.
