An 8-year-old girl with autism was found walking alone on PR-185 in the Cedros neighborhood of Carolina at 4:47 a.m. A citizen reported the incident to the authorities, and the police quickly responded. The girl, who has level three autism, was found without clothing but is in stable condition.

She was taken to the Hospital Dr. Federico Trilla, where she is being evaluated by pediatricians. Her parents, who also have a 15-month-old baby, were located and are with their daughter at the hospital.

The Department of Family and the Criminal Investigation Corps are investigating the case to determine if there was any negligence. According to Commissioner Rubén Moyeno of the Carolina Municipal Police, the girl had apparently left her home while her parents were sleeping and was found a short distance away.
