The Puerto Rico Baseball Federation (FBPR) has announced the 18-player team that will represent the country in the Pan American Under-12 Championship, to be held from November 20 to 27 in the Dominican Republic. The tournament will award four spots for the 2027 World Cup. According to Joey Solá, the National Team manager, the selection process was challenging, with over 450 players participating in evaluations across Puerto Rico and Florida since April.
The team will compete in Group C alongside Mexico, Panama, and Peru. Solá stated that the team's mission is to make history and achieve their first-ever classification to a World Cup Under-12. The technical staff will include Edville Feliberty, Héctor Irizarry, and Richard Burgos.
The selected players include Sebastián Morales, Ramón Cruz, Ediel Díaz, and 15 others.
