Minor Shot in Loíza

A 16-year-old minor was shot in the leg during an incident in the Villa Cañona sector of Loíza, according to the Police. The incident occurred during the early hours of Saturday, with authorities being alerted at 3:38 a.m. via a 911 call about shots fired in the area.

The minor was transported to a hospital after suffering a gunshot wound. Preliminary investigation suggests the minor was with several people when a situation occurred, and as they were leaving, they heard several shots and later realized they had been hit by a bullet in one of their legs.

The Uniformed Police reported the minor received medical attention and is in stable condition. The Carolina Criminal Investigations Corps (CIC) is in charge of the investigation.
