Loíza is a coastal town and municipality on the northeastern coast of Puerto Rico, located east of Carolina, west of Río Grande, and north of Canóvanas. It functions as an outer municipality within the San Juan metropolitan area, about 15 miles from the capital, and is organized into 5 barrios plus the downtown administrative center of Loíza Pueblo.
