A young man, Joshua A. Gutarra Casanova, was allegedly assaulted by multiple individuals in the Palomas neighborhood of Comerío, near a business called 100X35, on September 20 around 10:20 pm. According to the complaint, Gutarra Casanova was approached from behind and hit on the left side of the head, causing him to fall and receive additional blows.
He went home to Toa Alta and the next day, September 21, he sought medical attention at a hospital in Bayamón due to a bruised left eye. The doctor, Francisco Arroyo, treated him and radiographs revealed cranial bleeding, a fracture in the left orbital area, and a hematoma in the left eye. Gutarra Casanova was transferred to the Río Piedras Medical Center, and his condition was unknown at the time of the report.
The case was referred to the Aibonito CIC personnel for investigation.
