The 2026 Federative Water Polo League has kicked off, featuring athletes from 11 years old and up, with a strong participation. The league, organized by the Puerto Rican Swimming Federation, includes age categories from infantile to senior in both male and female divisions.
The main clubs of the organization will be active, and the inaugural events took place at the Loyola pool in the San Francisco urbanization of Río Piedras. The first weekend of competition in all categories will be held on September 26 and 27 at the Caguas Aquatic Complex.
Jean Pierre Mujica, president of the Water Polo Commission of the Federation, stated that this is a great start for the league, where future stars of Puerto Rican water polo are born, and they continue to develop to remain leaders in the Caribbean and Central America.
