The Police announced the arrest of a presumed gang leader in the Ernesto Ramos Antonini residential complex in Río Piedras on Wednesday morning. According to Inspector Joey Fontánez, director of the Police's Intelligence and Arrests Division, the 22-year-old suspect was detained at the offices of Mora Housing, a private company contracted to manage the public housing complex.
Fontánez stated that the suspect works as a grounds maintenance worker for the company. During the arrest, police found a firearm, ammunition, and controlled substances on the suspect, as well as another handgun outside the office.
This is the second incident this month, as two other men employed by Mora Housing were arrested during a raid earlier in the month.
