The Criollos de Caguas baseball team announced the signing of right-handed pitcher Jarret Whorff, 27, from the Atlanta Braves organization, as their third imported player for the 2026-27 season of the Roberto Clemente Professional Baseball League. Whorff joins pitcher Tyler Myrick and South Korean outfielder Won-Bin Cho as the team's announced imports. With experience up to triple A and as both a starter and reliever, Whorff will initially be used as a reliever but his versatility will give the team flexibility.
The Criollos' general manager, Kelvin Colón, praised Whorff's ability to throw strikes and his speed, which has reached 97 miles per hour. Whorff has accumulated 272 strikeouts in 253.1 innings pitched in the minor leagues, with 135 appearances and 10 starts. The Criollos will start their season on November 4 against the San Juan Senators.
