Ballet Concierto de Puerto Rico will present the ballet 'Drácula' for the second consecutive year in October, following its successful world premiere in 2025. The production, choreographed by Argentine Jorge Amarante, will be performed on October 16 and 17 at 8:00 p.m. and October 18 at 4:00 p.m. at the Sala de Drama del Centro de Bellas Artes Luis A. Ferré in Santurce.
The ballet is directed by Víctor Gili and features Mariana Rodríguez, Javier Morera, and Andrea Ayala in the main roles, with Luis Víctor Santana as the Count. According to Sandra Almodóvar, executive director of Ballet Concierto, the ballet attracted a young audience and received positive feedback for its bold and unique take on the classic story.
The production tells the story of Count Drácula's quest for blood and his obsession with Mina, the fiancée of a young lawyer, Jonathan Harker.
