Proyecto Nacer and Albizu University have formalized a partnership to support adolescent parents and their families in Puerto Rico. The collaboration aims to expand educational, research, and community-based opportunities through joint research initiatives, service-learning opportunities, professional training, and workshops. The agreement focuses on four areas: joint research, service-learning opportunities for university students, training and workshops, and participation in educational and community initiatives.
According to Dr. Anayra Túa López, CEO of Proyecto Nacer, the alliance will add knowledge, research, and professional talent to the organization's mission of supporting young people. Albizu University students will participate in supervised service-learning experiences in community settings connected to Proyecto Nacer, and the organizations will conduct research and share findings through publications and conferences.
The partnership is part of Proyecto Nacer's broader work with families of adolescent parents, which includes an accredited program providing services across three generations of families.
