Félix 'El Cano' Delgado Montalvo, the former mayor of Cataño, congratulated Hiram Torres Montalvo on his election as the new mayor of Cataño. Delgado Montalvo stated that the electorate made a wise decision in choosing Torres Montalvo, who is also the secretary of the Department of Consumer Affairs (DACO). Delgado Montalvo expressed his desire for a 'new Cataño' and claimed that people associated with the five candidates had approached him for guidance or help during the special election week.
However, in an interview with Teleonce, Torres Montalvo denied seeking recommendations from Delgado Montalvo and emphasized that his campaign focused on presenting proposals. Torres Montalvo is set to take on the role of mayor in the municipality of Cataño.
