The Senate's Innovation, Reform, and Appointments Commission, led by Senate President Thomas Rivera Schatz, held a public hearing to evaluate four executive branch nominations to the judiciary, prosecutor's office, and auxiliary prosecutors of the Department of Justice. The nominations under evaluation were Raphael J. Rosado Anazagasty as a superior judge of the Court of First Instance, Elizabeth Pitino Acevedo as a prosecutor for Minor Affairs, Nelson D. Vélez Colón as an auxiliary prosecutor II, and Wilfredo J. Santiago Vega as an auxiliary prosecutor I. Rosado Anazagasty began his career as a judicial officer at the Court of First Instance in Aguadilla and has since worked as a pension examiner in the region.
He has also collaborated as a lecturer on judicial education, court administration, and food law. Rosado stated that he will dedicate his abilities to providing the service citizens need, striving to do so in a fair, rapid, and economical manner, within the framework of the law and professional ethics.
