The supernatural suspense film Soul Snatchers, directed by Puerto Rican filmmaker Julio Román, is set to premiere on October 1 at Caribbean Cinemas. The film tells the story of Emmanuel, a man of unwavering faith who returns to his childhood island to open a music school for orphaned children, only to face a darker reality when invisible forces threaten his purpose, faith, and family.
The movie features a cast including Cameron Arnett, William Oliver, and Carla Adell, and was filmed in various locations across Puerto Rico, including San Juan, Caguas, and Río Grande. Román, who co-wrote the screenplay with César Castillo, aims to expand the reach of Puerto Rico-filmed stories and connect with audiences in other markets with his first fully English-language feature film.
