Firefighters from the Cuerpo de Bomberos extinguished a fire reported on the eighth floor of the residential area of the Cobian's Plaza building in San Juan on Tuesday night. According to Ivonne Rosario, spokesperson for the Cuerpo de Bomberos, no one was injured in the fire. The building was evacuated as a precaution, and at least one street was blocked to allow firefighters to work.
Residents were able to return to their apartments around 9:45 p.m. The fire was reported to have started in the residential area of the building, specifically on the eighth floor, and was brought under control by the firefighters. Personnel from the commercial area of Cobian's Plaza confirmed that the fire was under control and that it had started in the residential area.
