A man who was reportedly fishing was the victim of a carjacking early Sunday morning on PR-655 in Poza del Obispo, Arecibo. According to the victim's account to Puerto Rico Police officers, as he was heading towards his vehicle, which was parked near the dock after fishing, an individual with a firearm intercepted him. The perpetrator took the victim's vehicle, a blue 2023 Volkswagen Taos with license plate KHI-401.
No injuries were reported. Agent Jonathan Padilla from Precinct 107 in Arecibo initially investigated the case and referred it to the Puerto Rico Police's Cuerpo de Investigaciones Criminales (CIC), which will continue the investigation. The incident occurred during the early morning hours on Sunday.
