Under the slogan 'En Cada Paso, Juntos por Ti', Puerto Rico came together to support breast cancer patients and survivors at the Race for the Cure event. Noted journalist Aixa Vázquez, from WAPA-TV’s NotiCentro al Amanecer, served as the event’s godmother, while Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2026, Jennifer Barreto, also joined the initiative to raise awareness about breast cancer.
Vázquez highlighted that around 500 women were gathered at the event, which became a space for support and solidarity for survivors. The funds raised will be used to support breast cancer survivors. Aixa Vázquez invited the public to join her at Plaza Río Hondo on Wednesday at 2:30 PM.
