A woman died after being struck in a vehicle accident in San Juan early Sunday morning, according to the Police. The incident was reported at approximately 2:54 AM at the intersection of PR-1 and PR-176, near the Tren Urbano station. Preliminary information indicates that the driver of a gray Mitsubishi Mirage, traveling on PR-1 towards Caguas, struck a woman, causing severe injuries that resulted in her death at the scene.
The woman was not immediately identified. A man is in police custody in connection with the incident. The San Juan Traffic Division and the on-duty prosecutor are handling the investigation.
