McDonald’s Puerto Rico joined the 'Un café para un policía' initiative, offering a free 8-ounce McCafé to uniformed Puerto Rico police officers on Wednesday, October 7, at 94 restaurants across the island. This gesture aims to show appreciation for the officers’ daily work in keeping communities safe. Vincent Lamazou, Managing Director of Arcos Dorados in Puerto Rico and USVI, expressed that this initiative is a simple yet significant way to recognize the police officers’ commitment and thank them for their work.
The McCafé being offered is made from carefully selected and roasted Puerto Rico Coffee Roaster grains, carrying the Rainforest Alliance certification, which ensures the coffee comes from farms that meet social, economic, and environmental standards. Through this participation, McDonald’s Puerto Rico reaffirms its commitment to staying close to the communities it serves and recognizing those who contribute to their well-being.
