Vicky Carbonell, Puerto Rico’s representative in the Miss Grand International 2026, impressed on Tuesday with her national costume in the typical costume competition in Thailand. Carbonell’s costume was inspired by the legend of Roberto Cofresí, a pirate who sailed the Caribbean islands and was known as the 'Robin Hood of the Caribbean'. The national costume, which included a pirate hat, telescope, and ship’s wheel, was designed with intense crimson, golden, and nautical details.
Carbonell said that with each step, she brings the stories of her island to the international stage, reminding the world that the greatest treasure of Puerto Rico is its people. The preliminary competition will take place on October 7, and the grand final will be on October 10. Carbonell, a graduate of 'Objetivo Fama' 2025, has had a great performance in the international contest and is seeking a new crown for Puerto Rico.
