LUMA to Perform Electrical Work in 7 Puerto Rico Towns

LUMA Energy will perform maintenance and improvement work on the electrical system in seven Puerto Rico towns on Friday, including repairing lines and equipment, removing hazardous vegetation, and increasing the resilience of poles. The work will be done in Aibonito, Juncos, Juana Díaz, Yauco, Moca, Arecibo, and Gurabo, according to the company’s schedule. In Aibonito, crews will replace and repair electrical lines and equipment on PR-724, San Luis neighborhood and San Luis extension.

In Juncos, hazardous vegetation will be removed in the Gurabo Abajo neighborhood, Las Piñas sector. Similar work will be done in other towns. The work is part of LUMA’s maintenance and improvement efforts to strengthen the electrical system. LUMA’s efforts include increasing the resilience of poles in Arecibo and Gurabo.
