Uber has revealed the most frequent destinations of seniors using Uber Seniors in Puerto Rico, which include the Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport, Old San Juan, and Condado. According to data released by the company, 11:00 AM is the peak hour for these users, and Fridays have the highest volume of trips. Manuela Bedoya, Uber’s Communications Manager for Security in the Andean, Caribbean, and Central American region, stated that seniors in Puerto Rico are increasingly integrating technology into their daily lives.
Uber Seniors simplifies the app experience with larger text and icons, fewer steps, and the ability to save frequent destinations. Seniors can request their own trips or receive help from a family member through a Family Profile. To commemorate the first year of Uber Seniors in Puerto Rico, the company hosted a Tech Day for seniors, where they learned about digital tools, including Uber Seniors and artificial intelligence.
Uber also announced the upcoming launch of the Seniors Hub, a new space that will gather features designed to facilitate app use, and donated travel codes to entities working with seniors in Puerto Rico.
