An 89-year-old woman suffered burns on different parts of her body after a small explosion occurred on the stove in her kitchen, according to the Police. The incident happened at around 2:00 PM on Friday in the La Vázquez sector of Florida municipality, on PR-140 road. The authorities were notified through a call to the 9-1-1 Emergency System.
While the 89-year-old woman was in her residence, in the kitchen area, a small explosion occurred on the stove, resulting in burns on different parts of her body, and she was taken to the Manatí Medical Center in stable condition, the police report details. Agent Branys García Camacho, assigned to the Florida district, investigated the incident, along with personnel from the Fire Bureau.
