The Puerto Rico Baseball Federation announced its senior and youth national team rosters for the Pan American Baseball5 Championship, to be held in Barquisimeto, Venezuela, from October 14-17. Head coach Pedro Agosto said the teams have plenty of talent, commitment, and discipline, and will represent Puerto Rico with pride. The senior team, which includes players such as Aneyshka Aponte, Kamila Díaz, and Edgar Santiago, will use the tournament to prepare for the Baseball5 World Cup, which Puerto Rico will host in December.
The youth team, featuring players like Alejandra Pérez and Johan Rodríguez, will compete for a berth in the 2027 Baseball5 World Cup. The teams have been preparing since May, focusing on fundamentals, offense, defense, and game strategies. Puerto Rico will face teams from Cuba, Mexico, and Venezuela in the senior division, and Argentina and Peru in the youth category.
