Why this matters: The signing of Andújar brings a championship-winning player to the Carolina-Canóvanas Giants, potentially strengthening their lineup for the 2027 season and impacting the team’s performance in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional league.

The Carolina-Canóvanas Giants announced the two-year signing of forward Emmanuel Andújar for the 2027 Baloncesto Superior Nacional season. Andújar, who played for the Arecibo Captains last season, averaged 5.9 points and 4.8 rebounds in 17 minutes of action. The 34-year-old, 6'6" forward won the championship trophy in 2019 with the Aguada Santeros and played under current Giants coach Juan Cardona in 2025.

The 2027 BSN season is expected to start in mid-March, and the Giants’ management announced that more signings are to be completed. Andújar previously played for the Arecibo Captains, wearing their uniform last season.
