Dominican merengue star Toño Rosario says he has no plans to retire after more than 45 years in music and will return to Puerto Rico on Wednesday, November 25, 2026, to perform "El Cuquito Galáctico" at the Coca-Cola Music Hall in San Juan. Rosario, who worked as a mason before fame, began his career with his brothers in Los Hermanos Rosario before going solo.
The concert will run through hits from across his career, including "La última copa", "Quiero volver a empezar", "Machúcala", "Estúpida", "Dale vieja, dale", "Kulikitaka" and "El tornillito", which he recorded with Puerto Rican artist Wilkins. He promised guest artists whose names he is keeping secret. The visit also promotes his new song "La Chiflera", a festive merengue about jealousy and flirting.
Rosario, who lives in Miami and says he plays three to four parties a week in the Dominican Republic, has strong ties to the island: Puerto Rico is where he got his nickname "El Cuco", his wife Yari is Puerto Rican and they have been together since 1997, and his 25-year-old son Antonio, an architect, lives there. Producer Ivo Terrero, president of Terrero Music & Entertainment, is producing the show. Tickets are available through Ticketera.
