A resident of the Borinquen neighborhood in Guayama, Puerto Rico, said he heard several gunshots during the night of Thursday, October 22, after a body was reported Thursday afternoon in an overgrown lot in the area. Inspector José Torres Ruiz, director of the Police Bureau’s Criminal Investigations Corps (CIC), said the scene was reported at 1:50 PM on Friday, October 23, and that the body was found face down near a body shop.
The victim was wearing blue pants and a black shirt and had multiple gunshot wounds. Police have not yet confirmed the identity of the deceased, but they do not rule out a connection to the claims of an individual who said he killed two people following a business dispute.
