The medical practice Puerto Rico Cardiology has opened its third office in Puerto Rico, located in Altamira Reserve in San Juan, to expand access to specialized cardiovascular services for patients in the metropolitan area and nearby towns. The new office is already receiving patients and offers noninvasive general cardiology care and diagnostic studies focused on preventing, detecting and managing heart disease.
The practice was founded by Dr. Juan J. Nieves Rivera and Dr. Félix Álvarez Hernández, began operations in Hatillo and later expanded to Manatí. With the San Juan opening, it seeks to bring its specialized services to more patients around the island. Services available include management of high blood pressure, heart arrhythmias, presurgical evaluations, chest pain evaluation, cholesterol treatment and other cardiovascular risk factors.
The office will also perform echocardiograms, electrocardiograms, Holter monitoring, carotid, arterial and venous vascular studies, stress tests and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring. Puerto Rico Cardiology said that with this expansion it reaffirms its commitment to care based on scientific evidence, diagnostic technology and a patient-centered approach, after six years of providing specialized cardiovascular services on the island.
