schmuck., a New York cocktail bar ranked 11th on The World’s 50 Best Bars 2026 list, will take over the bar at the Andaluz restaurant in the ALMA San Juan hotel in Old San Juan on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, from 7:00 to 10:00 PM, as part of Puerto Rico Cocktail Week 2026. Moe Aljaff, co-founder and creative director of schmuck., will join his team behind the bar.
Though it opened in January 2025, the East Village bar also took fourth place on North America’s 50 Best Bars 2026, winning best-new-opening honors in both lists. Andaluz executive chef José Alvarez Collazo designed a special small-plates menu with Puerto Rican and international influences, including black squid croquetas with preserved lemon aioli, boned chicken wings stuffed with Spanish chorizo glazed with Pedro Ximénez, an oxtail bikini sandwich with tetilla cheese and caramelized onion on pressed bao bread, a crispy Puerto Rican lamb dish with aromatic rice, almonds, raisins and black lime and tamarind labneh, and a dark chocolate mousse sandwich with Spanish olive oil and sea salt.
Joymar Figueroa, associate food and beverage director of ALMA San Juan, recommended early reservations. The event is part of the eighth edition of Puerto Rico Cocktail Week, running November 8 to 14, 2026.
