The Guaynabo Municipal Police Bureau’s Anti-Crime Plan, running since it began Tuesday, October 27, through Saturday, October 31, produced ten arrests for offenses related to controlled substances, weapons and driving under the influence of alcohol. Mayor Edward A. O’Neill Rosa highlighted the results as part of sustained surveillance and police presence aimed at protecting residents and keeping communities calm.

During the interventions, officers seized a pistol, two magazines and eight rounds of ammunition. Seized controlled substances included ten bags and 120 decks of fentanyl, one bag of cocaine and 19 crack capsules. Two complaints were also reported.

The report further details the seizure of three motor vehicles, two motorcycles and four four-tracks, plus three vehicles confiscated. O’Neill Rosa said Guaynabo residents deserve to live peacefully and move safely through public spaces, and that the plan’s purpose is to protect families and act firmly against those who break the law. Colonel Jorge Hernández Peña, commissioner of the Municipal Police, called the plan’s continuation fundamental to preventing crime and responding to residents’ security needs, warning that anyone intending to commit crimes will find a vigilant, firm force. The mayor urged citizens to report suspicious activity and use the 9-1-1 emergency system.
