After no one matched all six numbers in Saturday’s drawing, the Powerball jackpot for Monday’s drawing reached $793 million. A winner could choose 30 annual payments or a pre-tax cash payout of $339.9 million. Although no one has won the jackpot since August 12, 2026, players in Puerto Rico have had luck with secondary prizes.
In Saturday’s drawing, one person who bought a ticket at Player’s Café in Bayamón won $150,000. According to the Powerball website, 10 other people matched four of the five numbers plus the red ball to win the $150,000 tertiary prize with Power Play. Two people also won $1,000,000 each for matching the five regular numbers but not the red ball, and one person from North Carolina won $2,000,000 for five numbers with Power Play.
Each ticket costs $2; odds of winning the jackpot are one in 292,201,338. Players can select five numbers from 1 to 69 and a Powerball from 1 to 26, add Power Play for $3 to multiply secondary prizes, or add Double Play for a $4 total ticket, which enters the numbers in a second drawing with a fixed first prize of $10,000,000.
Drawings are held Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:59 PM. Eastern from the Florida Lottery studio in Tallahassee, and prizes exclude federal and local taxes.
