Publicis Groupe Puerto Rico has appointed Marta Siverio as its new Chief Executive Officer. She succeeds Erasto Freytes, who retired after a long career in Puerto Rico’s communications industry, and the agency notes Freytes was one of Siverio’s first professional mentors, making the transition a connection between two generations of leadership. Siverio, a Syracuse University graduate with more than three decades in the industry, began her career at Badillo Saatchi & Saatchi and later held positions at JWT, McCann Erickson Puerto Rico and Young & Rubicam Puerto Rico before joining BBDO Puerto Rico, where she became CEO of Omnicom Media Group in Puerto Rico, integrating BBDO, OMD and Hearts & Science.
Mónica Gadsby, CEO of Publicis Groupe Latin America, praised Siverio’s experience, vision and knowledge of the Puerto Rican market. Her industry contributions have been recognized with the SME Top Management Award in the Advertising category, and she has held positions in the Association of Advertising Agencies of Puerto Rico and the Certamen Cúspide. As CEO, Siverio says she will focus on strengthening client relationships, developing growth opportunities, empowering talent and integrating the agency’s disciplines.
