Five of the 19 reservoirs monitored by the Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (AAA) were at the Spilling band on the morning of Sunday, November 8, according to the agency’s daily monitoring report. The reservoirs in spill are Carraízo, in Trujillo Alto; Guineo, in Orocovis; Guayabal, in Juana Díaz; and Loco, in Yauco. Carraízo received the most water, rising 0.13 meters to 40.96 meters.

Guayo, in Lares, was the only one to register a slight drop, though it stayed at the Spilling band at 445.08 meters. La Plata rose 0.28 meters to 42.38 meters but remains at the Adjustments band. Cidra stayed at the Watch band with no rise or fall.

The remaining 12 monitored reservoirs were at the Safe band, with water levels considered healthy for serving customers. The recent rain comes from a trough whose effects were felt especially in towns in the interior and northeast of Puerto Rico and also in the metropolitan area.
