The Carraízo reservoir continued its decline this week, dropping first by 6 centimeters to 37.76 meters and then by another 7 centimeters to 37.69 meters, both readings falling within the "ajustes" band. Despite the drop, the reservoir remains above its control line — by 0.76 meters and then 0.69 meters in the two readings — with officials estimating roughly 12.7 and 9.9 days of supply remaining at the current pace of decline.

Questions of oversight and accountability also surfaced in two separate matters. Power Expectations reportedly swapped out contractor Enchanted Rock for Flotek Industries without informing either the Fiscal Board or PREPA, raising concerns about transparency in decisions affecting the island's power arrangements. Separately, a new Senate resolution has revived scrutiny of contamination at the former petrochemical complex in Peñuelas, which remains one of the island's major environmental concerns.

On the cultural front, Puerto Rican artist Adames has launched a multidisciplinary project titled "Música para la playa," combining an 11-track album, a short film, and a comic book to tell a unified story across the three formats.
