Bosque Estatal de Monte Guilarte

Bosque Estatal de Monte Guilarte is a state forest in Adjuntas that covers the slopes of Mount Guilarte, one of the largest state forests in Puerto Rico. The tropical rainforest shelters numerous rare and endangered plant and animal species, and it is managed as a nature reserve. Hiking trails run through the forest, and one of them climbs to the summit of Mount Guilarte, giving walkers a route from the forest floor to the top of the mountain.
