Museo Tecnológico BONUS Dr. Modesto Iriarte

The Museo Tecnológico BONUS Dr. Modesto Iriarte occupies a decommissioned nuclear power plant in Rincón, on Puerto Rico's west coast. Known locally as the 'Domes,' the facility is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places and has been repurposed as a museum, preserving the site rather than the plant's original function.

Visitors come to see the former power station itself, an unusual structure to encounter along the coast and a rare example of nuclear infrastructure turned cultural site. As an indoor attraction, it offers a look at a distinctive piece of Puerto Rico's industrial and technological history, set apart from the area's typical beach and outdoor activities.
