The Institute of Forensic Sciences' (ICF) Human Identification Unit confirmed the identity of a burned body found in a vehicle in Las Piedras as 49-year-old Arnaldo González Vélez. The identification was made through a comparison of dental radiographs by the ICF's forensic odontologist. A authorized family member was notified of the results.
The body was found in the back of a vehicle at around 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday at kilometer 4.3 of PR-948 road in the Río Alto sector of the Quebrada Grande neighborhood. Agent José Caraballo from the Homicide Division of the CIC in Humacao and prosecutor Janitza Alsina are investigating the case. Due to the ongoing investigation, additional details remain confidential.
